-To ensure the forest is harvested in a manner that reflects the management goals and objectives of the forest landowner, including but not limited to, timber production, wildlife habitat, water quality, recreation, aesthetics, and ecological diversity.

-To provide sound forest management advice based on knowledge gained from a combination of formal education and real world experience.

-To represent the interests of the forest landowner, not the timber company.
